Royston’s Christmas Nutcracker Trail

Get ready for a magical adventure as we invite children, 11 years and under, to embark on a festive quest to find the twelve enchanting Nutcracker characters hidden around Royston Town Centre shops.

To participate, either collect or download an entry form, locate the Nutcracker characters, and complete the answers for the chance to win a large nutcracker and treats from Kelly’s Kitchen. There are also prizes for seven runners-up!

Pick up an entry form from various collection points in town, including: Glazed Creations, Kelly’s Kitchen, Ladds, Royston Library, or Kooky Nohmad.

Terms and Conditions

Christmas Nutcracker Trail Competition

  • The promoter of this competition is Royston First BID.
  • The trail and competition is open to any person.
  • Multiple entries will not be considered.
  • This competition is not open to any person directly involved in running the competition or any relatives of the Royston First BID Committee.
  • To enter the competition, participants must complete the A4 competition entry form – available to download from the Royston First website, or collect in-person from one of the collection points, such as Glazed Creations, Kelly’s Kitchen, Ladds, Royston Library, or Kooky Nohmad.
  • Participants must then take part in the town trail, following the map to find all twelve of the nutcrackers hidden in shop windows and complete the answers on the form.
  • Completed entries must either be placed in the entry box at Mica Hardware, Royston (or popped through the letterbox if closed), or emailed to us at info@roystonfirst.com.
  • The trail and competition will run from the 25th November 2023 and finish at 9pm on Sunday 17th December 2023. Entries after this time will not be entered.
  • A winner will be chosen at random and announced on our Royston First Facebook and Instagram pages on Tuesday 19th December 2023. Seven runners up will also be chosen and contacted to arrange collection of their prize – a small nutcraker. The winners will be contacted via phone or email.
  • The prize for this trail is a large nutcracker character and treats from Kelly’s Kitchen.
  • The winner will also have their photo taken for the local press and social media.
  • Royston First BID will not accept any responsibility for late or missing entries. Entrants must supply details as required, and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize.
  • Royston First BID reserves the right to change or cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  • By entering this competition, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.
