Trails throughout the year
Our children’s competitions and trails are a fun way to learn and explore our town. They are suitable for children aged 11 and under, however, the whole family can take part. They’re also completely free!
Take a look at the trails we have run so far this year…
9th – 18th April 2022
The Easter Trail was back again this year, searching for the names of the bunnies hidden in the shop windows. The winning entry won a £60 voucher for Glazed Creations and a sweet hamper from Ladds.
May 28th – June 11th 2022
A Jubilee-themed children’s trail took place in the summer to kick off the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. Children were asked to find the crowns in the shop windows to be in with a chance of winning a Jubilee picnic hamper, filled with cakes and treats.
22nd – 30th October 2022
To celebrate Halloween, we asked Royston’s witches and wizards to find the 12 potion bottles hidden around town. The prize was a voucher for a private tour of Royston Cave and a hamper of sweet treats.
Christmas Elf Trail
26th November – 11th December 2022
Santa’s elves are back, and they have sneakily gone into shops around the town centre again! The free-to-enter event will run from 26th November to 11th December 2022.
Children up to the age of 11 years can enter by searching for 12 naughty eleves hidden in shop front windows for a chance to win a Christmas hamper of treats by Ladds of Royston.
All trails are fully funded by the Royston First BID.
