BID Benefits

Having been voted in since 2003, many projects have benefited the town and industrial estate businesses such as “Free-after-3” parking and the Gateway site – which was developed following consultation with Royston First due to the severe industrial estate congestion.

Businesses have experienced a broad spectrum of benefits from the Royston First BID:

• Businesses decide and direct what they want in their area
• Businesses are represented and have a voice in issues affecting their trading area
• BID levy money is ring-fenced for use only in the BID area
• Increased footfall and spend
• Reduced business costs
• Promotion of the town
• A safer and more attractive environment throughout the town
